John Berthold is a commercial and documentary photographer dedicated to covering a wide variety of both domestic and international subjects.

Devoting more than fifteen years to hone his photographic style has given John a valuable perspective in his work. His portfolio reflects a diverse interest to document remote corners of the globe, local American stories and commercial projects that capture the essence of everyday life in all its colors and style.

John Berthold's images have been published in several countries. In 2005, a five-year book project titled Bhutan, Land of the Thunder Dragon was released by Wisdom Publications. This in-depth look at the unspoiled natural beauty in the last Himalayan Kingdom has been reviewed as "...a glorious large-format coffee table book par excellence!"

John Berthold is based in Portland, Oregon where he lives with his wife.
